GED Classes
|

The GED Prep Course and practice tests are designed for adults with a ninth-grade level of education or higher, and provide solid preparation in the most important test topics, including many helpful tips and strategies.

Special attention is paid to GED Math and English. The entire class is available to anyone who is ready to commit time and energy in preparation for their GED testing. Whether an individual heading for a career or college, a home school student, or just someone interested in attending an upgrading course, this program is for you!.

This GED class, book, and pre tests held each week, will help you assess your readiness, at your own pace, and start to pursue your GED diploma.

The GED credential is well-regarded by both colleges and employers. In fact, reports show that nearly all employers throughout the country are prepared to offer the same benefits, wages, and opportunities for advancement to GED graduates as they are to standard high school graduates. This is one reason the GED is referred to as a "high school equivalency" test.

Classes run in the fall and early spring with the final exam being held directly after course completion. Students must register for the exam through the Dept of Labour and Workforce development on Lorne Street. Applications to write the exam must be completed, and a fee paid. (Approximately $42.00)

Monday evenings, Communications is taught and Math is taught Thursday evening. In order to better meet the variety of student needs in the class, an in class tutor will also be available on most evenings to offer assistance.
